Ohio Renaissance Festival is almost Here!

The Ohio Renaissance Festival is back for another year!

The Ohio Renaissance festival is slated to open back up for the season on Saturday August 30th at 10:30am.

This festival draws visitors from all over the state and surrounding states. Packed full of great shops, food, entertainment and more this festival is a must visit during the fall.

The festival runs August 30th through October 26th. Best to arrive early, parking can sometimes be tricky. The parking area opens an hour before the gates, so plan to be there when the parking opens if you are visiting all day.

There are also theme weekends every weekend they are open. No obligation to dress up in the specific theme, but there are different events for each theme weekend. Pirates and Viking weekend are some of our favorites.

Visitors will see a full day of entertainment including full-armored Jousting the way it was done over 400 years ago by real Knights in shining armor. Queen Elizabeth I presides over the festivities as dozens of Renaissance musicians, dancers, comedians, jugglers, sword-fighters, storytellers and hundreds of costumed performers entertain patrons of all ages on 17 stages in over 100 shows daily.

More than 150 world-class artisans display wares in this unique shoppers’ paradise. Master artisans demonstrate timeless arts of glassblowing, jewelry making, blacksmithing, stone carving, leather crafting, weaving and more.

Test your skills in the gaming area or climb the 25’ Castle Tower, then visit the Tower of London Dungeon of Doom. Eat, drink, shop, enjoy the shows, ride human-powered rides, and visit with Royalty at the 2021 Ohio Renaissance Festival.

Enjoy all the best renaissance food options complete with Giant Turkey Legs, Steak-On-A-Stake, Barbecue, Wraps, Stuffed Spuds, Bread Bowl Stews, Pizza Parlor, Hearty Ales, Flavorful Wines, Delectable Desserts and Vegetarian selections offer even the most discriminating taste buds a true Taste of the Renaissance.

The Ohio Renaissance Festival is such an experience that is great fun for adults and kids. Step in the medieval world for a few hours and watch the jousting, have a turkey leg and maybe you’ll even see the Queen!

“They have such great costumes and extras for all your costume needs all year round.

They have a children’s section as well as extras for any existing costume you might have already, and need to renew our replace accessories. They also have a large selection of costumes for your organization, church or group and have all the up to date make up and wigs for every need you might have.

Overall I would say that most any item you might need quickly you would have available year round and not need to pay extra to have it delivered from an online source.
